Dassel / Cokato, Minnesota Behind the Wheel Instruction
How many hours of practice driving do we need in order to take the road test?
Your teen will need to complete 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction with one of our instructors and log 50 hours of practice time with a you or another qualified supervising driver. The hours driven with an instructor do not count as part of the 50 hours.
We do our best to make driver’s education convenient. Today’s Driving School offers home pick-up and drop-off for behind the wheel instruction. No need to take time off of work to drop off your teen driver for lessons. Your welcome.
Your teen will drive with our instructor for a full two hours for each of three behind the wheel sessions. The focus is on helping your teen develop good driving skills that will keep them safe on the road. Our lesson plans are designed to allow your teen driver to experience first hand as many driving situations as possible.
Through the use of our driver evaluation sheets you will be able to see what skills have been practiced and receive feedback from our instructors via written notes.
Flexible Class Schedules Make Life Easier
We get it, finding time for everything your active teenager has going on is a chore and a half. That is why we have structured our classroom education to be as flexible for you as is possible.
Each student is required to attend a full 30 hours of classroom education and cannot exceed 3 hours per day. Our schedule breaks the required class-time up into 10 manageable sessions. If your teen must miss a day of class, they can make up that day at any other location we offer classes at. For example: If they miss day 9 they can attend day 9 anywhere we have classes.
