30 Hour Classroom Education
Do I really need to complete the classroom education?
Anyone under the age of 18 in the state of Minnesota looking to become a licensed driver, must complete 30 hours of classroom education and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction in order to get their driver’s license.
Today’s Driving School has developed our own, state approved, 30 hour classroom lesson plan. This lesson plan is designed to help your teen pass their knowledge test and become a safe, reliable driver.
Lessons are presented through a balanced approach to meet the individual learning needs of all students. Material is presented through a variety of formats that include reading, worksheets, tests, videos and fun classroom activities.

6 Hours of Behind the Wheel Instruction

Today’s Driving School offers home pick-up and drop-off. This is a great convenience for busy parents and teens. In order to make this work each student’s drive-time ends at the next student’s house. Then the student being picked-up drives the previous student home.
This also gives us the advantage of providing one-on-one instruction for every student as they drive. Each student drives for a full two hours.
Our licensed instructors focus on helping your student develop good driving skills that will help them stay safe on the road. Each instructor follows lesson plans that allow your student to experience first hand as many driving situations as possible.
Through the use of our driver evaluation sheets you will be able to see what skills have been practiced and receive feedback from our instructors via written notes.

Flexible Class Schedules
We understand how difficult it can be to find time for everything your active teenager has going on. That is why we have structured our classroom education to be as flexible for you as is possible.
Each student must attend 10 days of classroom instruction that are 3 hours long. If your teen must miss a day of class, they can make up that day at any of the other locations we teach. For example: If they miss day three they can attend day three anywhere we have classes.
Communities Served in Our Buffalo Location
Students from all communities are welcome to attend any of the classes we offer at any location for the entire 30 hours or simply to make up a missed session from elsewhere.
Nearby communities that are serviced through our Buffalo classroom include Maple Lake, Rassat, Rockford, Delano, Montrose, Waverly, St. Michael, Monticello, Corcoran, Hanover and Albertville.
Our Buffalo classroom location is 605 Hwy 55 East, near the Dairy Queen. Our classroom entrance is located on the North side of the building.
